Commencement Day

Due to inclement weather, the commencement ceremony will be held in Seiberling Gymnasium at 10:00 am.

Ceremony video stream

A live video stream of the ceremony will be available via BoxCast. The video feed will be available approximately 20 minutes prior to the event. (Link to Video Stream)

10:00 AM Commencement Ceremony for Graduates and Undergraduates
Seiberling Gymnasium
Seating will be available in the stadium and on the field. Tickets are required for general seating. Only those with tickets can be accommodated due to limited seating in the gymnasium.

Remote viewing sites: The ceremony will be video cast simultaneously in Frost Lecture Hall and the University Commons.

Inclement Weather Information

Only those with tickets can be accommodated due to limited seating in the gymnasium. Those with special seating needs must have made special arrangements by contacting Ms. Barb Gabel (bgabel [at] heidelberg.edu (bgabel[at]heidelberg[dot]edu)). Doors will open for those with special seating tickets at 9:15 am. General admission will begin at 9:30 am. At 9:45 am, any unoccupied Special Seating will be opened for general admission.

Tickets can be picked up in the Business Office on Friday, May 11, until 5:00 PM in University Hall, or on Sunday, May 13, at 9:00 AM.

Information for Guests

Parking

Park Lots C, E, F, G, and J will be available (see Campus Map). Golf carts will be available for those who need assistance. Please arrive early – Lots F and G will fill quickly! Note that Rebecca St. and Greenfield St. from University Hall to Rebecca St. will be closed from 9:30 to 10:00 AM for the academic procession.

Guests with a registered Disability Parking placard may park in the lot next to Hoernemann Stadium (164 Greenfield St.). A member of the Heidelberg Security staff will be available to assist as necessary. Guests with health concerns or in a wheelchair should be driven to the parking lot next to Hoernemann Stadium. A ̽��ѡ student ambassador will escort the person into the stadium.

Special Seating

Guests with special seating tickets will be admitted at 9:15 AM. There will be a seat reserved for this person and an escort in the special seating section. The special seating area will be held until 9:45 AM. At that time seats will be released to general seating. It is the responsibility of the graduate to make this reservation by May 1. If you have questions, please contact Ms. Barb Gabel by calling 419-448-2183.

Security

As a security precaution, the following items are prohibited: alcoholic beverages, coolers, backpacks, large handbags, metal folding seat cushions, seats that clamp to bleachers, noise making devices, mace or similar substances, signs, sticks, poles, and weapons of any kind. Guests are subject to visual inspection of person, bags, and clothing capable of concealing prohibited items.

Baccalaureate will be in Gundlach Theatre for degree candidates, families, and friends with open seating. This interfaith worship service will include readings from religious texts, prayers, special music, and a sermon. The heritage between the United Church of Christ and ̽��ѡ is also celebrated in this gathering. Students from Religious Life will lead the service. No ticket is required.

Exercise Science Camp

July 16-19th

Come be a part of the Heidelberg Exercise Science Camp. You will have the opportunity to explore a variety of areas in the growing field of exercise science, including: strength testing, power testing, metabolic assessment, electrocardiogram, body composition, and performance assessment. This 3-day resident camp will give you both classroom and hands-on learning activities such as metabolic testing, skinfold testing, velocity-based training, movement screens, instructing and coaching techniques, and much more.

Scholarship Application

A generous donor is giving us an opportunity to give a limited number of need-based scholarships this year. If you would not be able to attend this camp without a scholarship. *Scholarship application coming soon.

Do you like helping people? Then this camp may be for you!

Come be a part of the Heidelberg Health Sciences Division’s Health Professions Camp. You will have the opportunity to explore a variety of health care fields including athletic training, physician, physician assistant, nursing, nurse practitioner, dietitian, and chiropractor. This 3-day resident camp will give you both classroom and hands-on learning activities such as casting, a team competition, and much more.

Scholarship Application

A generous donor is giving us an opportunity to give a limited number of need-based scholarships this year. If you would not be able to attend this camp without a scholarship, please fill out this application.

Turn up the Volume on your Life. Sing on!

The Vocal Arts Camp is a six-day summer camp for students ages 13-18. Discover your vocal potential with voice lessons, masterclasses and pre-professional training to develop vocal artistry and confidence. Explore vocal ensembles in a variety of sizes and musical styles. Dive into interactive sessions on auditioning, acting for singing, stage movement and singing in foreign languages. Take to the Stage in our production of Amélie: the Musical. All participants will be cast in the production!
