Grant amounts reflect those available for terms starting January 2025 or later. The scholarship amounts may change for future start terms.

University Grants

Students may be eligible for additional aid through university grants.

Out-Of-State Grant 
Must be a resident of a state other than Ohio. Students from California, Florida, Indiana, Michigan, or Texas will receive up to $3,000. All other out-of-state students will receive up to $1,500. Renewable for four years.

UCC Grant
Member of the United Church of Christ. Letter of recommendation from minister. Eligible for up to $1,000. Renewable for four years.

UCC Ministerial Grant
Children of ordained UCC ministers and full-time missionaries. Based on need. Eligible for up to $2,000. Renewable for four years.

Alumni Family Grant 
Must have a family member who graduated from Heidelberg. Eligible for up to $1,000. Renewable for four years. Not compatible with Multi-Family Member Grant.

Multi-Family Member Grant
Must have a family member from the same household enrolled full-time at Heidelberg. Eligible for up to $1,000. Not compatible with Alumni Family Grant.

Opportunity Grant
This Opportunity Grant is only available to students who are accepted to 探花精选 and receiving the Prince Promise Award. This Grant is worth $5,000 per year, for four years. This grant can be .

University Grant, Amounts vary
Must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and have exceptional need.

Federal Grants

Pell Grant
Need based on FAFSA analysis. Federal government determines eligibility. Amounts vary following federal guidelines. .

Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)
Need based on FAFSA analysis. Limited to students who are Pell Grant eligible. Awards are typically $500 per year.

The Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant/Loan
Must file the FAFSA, currently completing coursework necessary to begin a career in teaching in a 鈥渉igh-need鈥 field, have at least a cumulative 3.25 GPA for each payment period; or have a score above the 75th percentile on an admissions test, such as the SAT, ACT or GRE. Up to $4,000 per year ($16,000 total) for undergraduate students and $4,000 per academic year ($8,000 total) for graduate students. Must agree to teach full time for four years in a Title I school serving low-income students or the grant turns into a Direct Unsubsidized Loan with interest charged from the date of original disbursement.

State of Ohio Grants & Scholarships

Ohio College Opportunity Grant (OCOG)
Need based on FAFSA analysis. Eligibility is limited to students with an EFC of 2190 or less.

War Orphan Scholarship
Children of deceased or severely disabled Ohio Veterans who served during period of war or declared conflict.

Gift aid cannot exceed current tuition. Renewal of all sources of financial aid is contingent upon maintaining Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP). SAP requires students to pass at least 67% of their attempted hours per academic year. They must have a 2.0 GPA or higher by the end of their sophomore year.
