Happy holidays from the School of Music & Theatre. Join us for a festive holiday celebration as we will combine our 129th performance of Handel's "Messiah" with a playful re-creation of Tchaikovsky鈥檚 'The Nutcracker."
Calling all high school musicians: Bring your passion and instrument to Heidelberg for our School of Music & Theatre Honor Festival. Enjoy a day dedicated to music making with Dr. Greg Ramsdell for the Honor Choir OR Prof. Jon Waters for the Honor Band. Participate in mock auditions and masterclasses with Heidelberg faculty. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. in Brenneman Music Hall with the fun starting at 9 a.m. The Honor Festival Concert begins at 6 p.m. in Ohl Concert Hall inside Brenneman. Event cost is $25 per student, which includes a T-shirt, lunch and dinner.
Tuba and euphonium players of all ages and ability levels, unite! We'll perform a concert of well-known Christmas carols at this annual holiday event.

The 探花精选 Community Music School will present its Fall Showcase Concert. The CMS is a joint venture, that promotes the development of a lifelong love of music for all ages and ability levels by providing a variety of educational opportunities for children and adults.
The 探花精选 Concert Choir, the premiere choral ensemble of the university鈥檚 School of Music & Theatre, will kick off the 2019-20 performance season with a concert Sunday, Nov. 17, at 4 p.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 5475 Brand Road, Dublin, Ohio.
Under the direction of Dr. Greg Ramsdell, director of choral activities and associate professor of choral music education, and accompanied by pianist Cynthia Ramsdell, the 51-member vocal choir will present a concert with the theme 鈥淗omeward (Un)bound,鈥 completing a three-year, travel-themed cycle.
The 62-member 探花精选-Community Chorus will perform its annual fall concert, titled 鈥淎 Marriage of Music and Lyrics: Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue,鈥 at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at First Lutheran Church, 300 Melmore St.
Join the Jazz Ensemble and the Hei-Notes for their fall performance.
Enjoy a celebration of American song on an October afternoon when old friends Doug McConnell, professor of music and composition at 探花精选, and Bill Reyer, professor emeritus of English and creative writing, combine their gifts and shared interests in a recital for baritone and piano/accordion.
The community is invited to this encore collaboration at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, in Pancoast Recital Hall, Brenneman Music Hall.

The 探花精选 School of Music & Theatre presents The Greek Plays: Lysistrata and Oedipus Rex in Gundlach Theatre.
General admission is $15, Berg Bravo!, faculty and staff admission is $10 and student admission is $5.
