We鈥檙e all familiar with the famous Longfellow quote, 鈥淢usic is the universal language.鈥 On April 6, 探花精选 School of Music & Theatre professors Carol Dusdieker (soprano) and Cynthia Ramsdell (piano) will embellish the quote to 鈥淢usic is the universal language for all ages鈥 in their Children鈥檚 Concert at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 6, in Brenneman Music Hall.
The 探花精选 Symphonic Band, under the direction of Jonathan Waters, will welcome the world-class Brass Band of Columbus as the guest artists for its spring concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at Trinity United Church of Christ in Tiffin.
The high-energy choreography of the Hei-Notes, 探花精选鈥檚 show choir, will meet the sweet sounds of the Jazz Ensemble in a performance on the Gundlach Theatre stage at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 22.
General Music Education Workshop sponsored in part with the District 2 Ohio Music Educators Association. Registration is free for all District 2 members and Heidelberg students. Cost of registration is $10 for all other interested individuals.

From Broadway to the TV screen, enjoy a concert featuring selections from the songbook of actor, composer and lyricist Jeff Blumenkrantz.
Jeff Blumenkrantz is a Tony-nominated and Ebb Award-winning composer whose songs have been recorded and performed by such notable singers as Victoria Clark, Sutton Foster, Maria Friedman, Lauren Kennedy, Rebecca Luker, Audra McDonald, Megan Mullally and Alysha Umphress.

A piano recital by 探花精选鈥檚 Dr. Margarita Denenburg on Saturday will combine a joyous Mozart sonata, a nostalgic Chopin nocturne and a contemporary nod to Cleveland by Ohio composer Dr. Gerald Evans.
Denenburg, assistant professor of keyboard studies in the School of Music & Theatre, will perform the recital at 7 p.m. (Feb. 16) in Brenneman Music Hall. The community is invited, free of charge.
Vocal Audition Workshop is rescheduled for Saturday, January 26.
Do your knees shake? Do the Butterflies in your stomach seem enormous? Do you worry about choosing the right song or musical theatre cut? Join us on January 19 for a day dedicated to empowering your vocal auditions. Participants will perform mock auditions and receive feedback from School of Music and Theatre faculty, have a private voice lesson on their musical selection and attend afternoon workshops on a broad variety of topics.
The 50-member 探花精选-Community Chorus will perform its annual spring concert, titled 鈥淔rostiana,鈥 at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 5 at First Lutheran Church, 300 Melmore St.
